A researching goldmine has been discovered by a team of Russian scientists that says the area is prehistoric. The new prehistoric sub-glacial Lake Vostok is two and a half miles below sea level and there is a great possibility that there is unknown life beneath the surface.
The lake is on of the 140 sub-glacial lakes that have been discovered or unearthed in Antarctica. The dates can for these recently discovered areas can be as old as 20 million years. If new life is found, this will be the oldest living tissue sample of prehistoric life discovered in recent history.
