Chinese Goverment Censors Men In Black 3

The famous duology, now trilogy, Men In Black 3 has offended the Chinese government and they demanded a censors on a part of the movie. The movie stars Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones as they fight aliens in a Chinatown restaurant was deleted from the Chinese version of the movie.

The movie was stripped of more than 13 minutes of the film which removed every Chinese baddie from plot of the film. To be fair, the makers of the film couldn’t have guessed that using parts of New York’s Chinatown would cause offensive controversy on the other side of the globe.

A scene the Chinese government picks out a scene where there was a fight Will Smiths character was in and afterward he ‘flashes’ them, wipes their memory. The movie received this comment about the scene:

“This could have been a hint on the use of internet censorship to maintain social stability,” commented China’s Southern Daily newspaper.

There are two other scenes that have caused a negative light on the Chinese, according to the Chinese government, but its unclear if they will remove them or not.
